CITYNET APPOINTS ALASTAIR TEMPLETON AS MOTOR DIVISIONAL DIRECTOR

Citynet Insurance Brokers, one of the few genuinely independent wholesale brokers left in the City and provider of specialist schemes and services to Insurance Intermediaries throughout the UK and Ireland, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alastair Templeton as Divisional Director in its ever growing Motor Fleet Division.

Alastair has over 18 years of experience in motor insurance, providing expertise and broking skills necessary to place difficult risks including High-Performance Car Clubs, Self-Drive Hire and distressed Haulage and Couriers.  Prior to joining Citynet, he headed up the “Wholesale” Motor Department at JLT.  His responsibilities included the day to day broking and handling of enquiries, overseeing the team and developing new Agent and Underwriter relationships.

Having started his career at the reputable broking house R.L. Davison & Co, he progressed through from office junior to holding a senior broking position.

In his new role, Alastair will help Citynet’s Motor Fleet forge solid market relationships whilst winning and retaining business in conjunction with new and existing partners, colleagues and markets in the placement of insurance solutions and the innovation of new products. Citynet’s Motor Fleet division brings over 100 years of combined experience in arranging insurance within the Lloyd’s and London market.

D.I.S.C.O Balls rugby team runners up in the Mens Open Competition at the Heineken Kinsale Rugby 7s

Kinsale 7s,Ireland’s largest rugby festival based in Kinsale, Co. Cork, takes place every year over the first May Bank Holiday weekend. This year Heineken Kinsale 7s was yet another record-beating success. 80 teams fought it out across five competitions, and the standard of 7s rugby reached another high.

Citynet Insurance Brokers were proud to sponsor The D.I.S.C.O. Balls Rugby team that entered the Men’s Open competition for the first time this year. They played an amazing and very competitive rugby ultimately finishing runners-up out of the seven teams playing in this category.

D.I.S.C.O. Balls Rugby (made up of players from Haywards Heath Rugby Club in Sussex) are already planning to go back to Kinsale next year with the high hopes to be the winners of the Men’s Open competition and look forward to having the same sponsor support from Citynet and others.
